MANILA, Philippines — Metro Pacific Health Tech’s mWell has secured another Global Mobile (GLOMO) Award for innovation in health care, bringing Philippine health technology to the global stage.
The country’s fully integrated health and wellness mega app won the GLOMO Award for Best Mobile Innovation Supporting Emergency or Humanitarian Situations under the Tech4Good Category at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.
The award makes it the first Philippine health tech app to win in the category.
It also marks the second GLOMO win following its 2023 award for Best Mobile Innovation for Digital Life.
“Digital innovation is key to our commitment to national progress. Through mWell, we continue to harness technology to bring quality healthcare closer to every Filipino,” Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) and mWell chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan said.
MPIC chief finance, risk and sustainability officer and mWell president and CEO Chaye Cabal-Revilla said the new recognition affirms the company’s focus on advancing health care inclusion through innovation.
“Our goal is simple: ensure health care is within reach for communities that need it most,” she said.
GLOMO Awards are widely regarded as the mobile industry’s most prestigious recognition worldwide, honoring innovations that transform connectivity and improve lives worldwide.
It is organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association, an organization that unites the mobile ecosystem to drive innovation, advance connectivity and enable positive business and societal impact.
With the recognition, mWell joins leading global brands such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, China Mobile and China Telecom as among the winners across various categories at the 2026 GLOMO Awards.
Together with KonsultaMD, mWell’s ecosystem serves 7.3 million users, with 37 percent coming from vulnerable and underserved sectors.
