ILOILO CITY — The top-ranked most wanted person in Western Visayas, sought for a murder case, was apprehended in Palawan on Sunday.

The suspect, known by the aliases "Ren-Ren" and "Maik," is a 35-year-old laborer originally from Zone 2, Barangay San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City. His last known address is in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan.

The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) said the suspect was arrested at noon on Sunday in Barangay Model, Puerto Princesa City, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court in Iloilo City on May 17, 2022.

The court did not recommend bail for his temporary release, the PRO-6 said.

PRO-6 director BGen. Jack Wanky commended the involved units for locating and arresting the suspect.
