The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Monday announced free admission to the Museo BSP, the repository and custodian of the country’s numismatic heritage.
In an advisory released on social media, the central bank said walk-in visitors will be welcome starting Monday, June 9, 2025, through the BSP Hub entrance on Roxas Boulevard Service Road.
Group tour reservations will be accepted starting August 1, 2025, through the BSP’s hotline 8516-7499.
“Celebrate the evolution of currency, revisit history, and explore our numismatic heritage that shapes our national identity!” the advisory read.
The Museo BSP — which collects numismatic items and fine art — opened in 1974 under then Governor Gregorio S. Licaros, and was expanded in the 1980s under Governor Jaime C. Laya.
The Museo also houses the BSP art collection including paintings, sculptures, pre-colonial gold and pottery, and decorative arts.
It is located at the basement of the BSP Hub along Roxas Boulevard in Malate, Manila, open from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and is closed on weekends and holidays.
