MANILA, Philippines — Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman is expecting her third child, her first with French electronic music producer Tanguy Destable, better known as Tepr.

The actress broke the news to magazine Harper's Bazaar, saying she was "awed" to be welcoming another baby.

"Tanguy and I are very excited," the 44-year-old Natalie said. "I'm just very grateful. I know it's such a privilege and a miracle."

She recounted the difficulties of getting pregnant — her father is a fertility doctor — particularly of those close to her, calling pregnancy both not easy but also beautiful and joyous.

"I know how lucky it is. I'm very aware, and I'm very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude," Natalie reiterated.

Natalie's two children Aleph, 14, and Amalia, 9, were with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied whom she married to for 11 years. Tepr also has two younger children, sons Étienne and Vadim, with ex Louise Bourgoin.

"There is a gratitude that when you're young, you don't necessarily grasp," she continued. "And there's a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it's probably the last time, I cherish every moment."

The actress noted how well she was doing, comparing her pregnancy to previous ones, by swimming, doing Gyrotonics and spending time with her children.

In terms of work, Natalie's next projects "The Gallerist" and "Good Sex" will not come out until later this year and early 2027, meaning she can focus first on her pregnancy.

"We're going to make lots of mistakes, no matter how hard we try. And also, we're going to do a lot right without having to do research. I feel like if you're just present and loving, that's the best thing possible," she ended.

Natalie won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in "Black Swan," and has also received nominations for "Closer," "Jackie," and earlier this year the animated film "Arco" as a producer.

She is also known for her roles in "Léon: The Professional," "V for Vendetta," "Annihilation," "May December," and the franchises for "Star Wars" and Marvel Studios.
