MANILA, Philippines —  Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) involved in incidents in Quezon City and Parañaque are under probe.

Acting NBI Director Angelito Magno said the agents would be suspended after the filing of charges.

“Misconduct has no place in the NBI,” Magno said yesterday. “Due process will be observed, but those who dishonor the badge will be held accountable.”

NBI agents Erwyn Marasigan and Manny Bocaling and a certain Ara were involved in a bar fight in Quezon City on Dec. 6.

In Parañaque, police nabbed an NBI agent for pulling a gun in front of five people.

The agent pursued his victims until they reached the barangay hall in San Antonio, where the group sought assistance.
