NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines – Negros Occidental has three top performing schools and three topnotchers in the March 2025 Licensure Exams for Professional Teachers (LEPT) based on the results released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on Friday, May 23.

Among schools with at least 100 examinees, Philippine Normal University-Visayas (PNU-V) in Cadiz City ranked first with 100% passing rate as all 133 of its examinees passed.

It tied with sister schools PNU-Manila, PNU-North Luzon, and PNU-Mindanao for top spot for that category.

Bacolod City College (BCC) was at 5th place with a passing rate of 93.14% as 95 out of its 102 total examinees passed, while Carlos C. Hilado Memorial State University-Main Campus in Talisay was at 7th place. Out of 218 CHMSU’s examinees, 200 passed for a 91.74% passing rate.

PNU-V’s Jacob Facultad and CHMSU’s Ma. Carmel Delada placed fourth among the top 10 examinees, both scoring 93.20%. PNU-V’s Roxanne Ricaplaza ranked seventh with a score of 92.60%.

Facultad is from San Carlos City while Delada is from EB Magalona town.

In an interview with Rappler on Friday May 23, PNU-V executive director Ralger Jocson said that their university always aims to be on top.
