MANILA, Philippines — A week into their reign, the new Miss Universe Philippines and The Miss Philippines queens are basking in the afterglow of their triumphs.

At their victory press conference held at Citadines Millennium Ortigas on May 6, the newly minted queens shared the first thing they did after the coronation.

Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo said she needed to rest after all the activities that all her 65 sisters went through leading to the coronation last May 2 in Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She was also excited for her turn to try bringing home the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe crown when she competes in Thailand in November.

"I needed to rest because immediately after the after-party, I lost my voice and I had to do a shoot because I didn't want to miss the chance to show everyone my new crown, my new sash. I wanted to work right away. I couldn't even sleep after the after-party.

I woke up early because I was already thinking of a plan for Thailand. After, I think my body gave up because three days before the finals, I was already sick. So, I lost my voice. Now, I'm getting it back now. I'm trying to rest still. But, you know, this is my dream and I'm living it. So, bahala na ang sakit," Ahtisa said.

It's Netflix and chill for Miss Cosmo Philippines 2025 Chelsea Fernandez.

"I just slept and watched a lot of movies on Netflix. You know, it was really a free time for me. And, of course, celebrated after with my family. I just forgot the title but it was a thriller movie. It's a genre that I really like," the Sultan Kudarat representative shared.

In a similar fashion, Miss Eco International Philippines 2026 Gabriella Mai Carballo took a rest after weeks of gruelling competition.

"Well, I got out of bed the day after at like 12 noon. Which is like the first time that that's happened in three months. So, just to lay down in my bed and have nothing to do was the biggest blessing. And of course, you know, I feel like it's so amazing being next to all of these girls. Like the fact that I get to be here with them is already a big deal for me," the Cebuana beauty said.

Siniloan, Laguna's delegate and 2nd runner-up Yllana Marie Aduana, on the other hand, was up and about and actually attended an after-party. "I was a little bit late, but I enjoyed the night as well. The next day, I also spent the day with my family. I also celebrated. I also slept for the whole day."

Actress and 1st runner-up Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez and Miss Supranational Philippines 2026 Katrina Llegado celebrated together. Winwyn celebrated her 33rd birthday last May 4, two days after the coronation.

Winwyn said that she celebrated her birthday with some of her fellow delegates. She teased that she found it funny that the first thing they gave her was a grocery list.

"As for me, we celebrated with Ate Winwyn. I was there, present. So, it was a back-to-back celebration with my family, with Ate Winwyn, with my team. So, really, we poured our heart out. Because this one is really a dream for me. It's a celebration in the support system of our team. We were able to win the Supranational Crown. Thank you so much to the organization for the trust. For me, the same with my Miss Universe Philippines sisters," Katrina said.
