The HSMA Board was inducted by DOT Undersecretary Shahlimar Tamano
MANILA, Philippines — The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) Philippines formally inducted its 2026–2027 Board of Trustees during its first general membership meeting held on March 2, 2026 at Lanson Place Mall of Asia.
The induction signaled the start of a new leadership term for the organization, which brings together sales and marketing leaders from more than 130+ hotels and resorts across the Philippines.
As one of the country’s most active hospitality organizations, HSMA continues to champion collaboration across the industry while supporting tourism growth initiatives in partnership with the Department of Tourism.
Taking on the helm of the organization is Loleth So, group commercial director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, who was inducted as president. Joining her on the executive committee are Okada Manila vice-president – sales & marketing Cielo Reboredo, vice president; Bayview Park Hotel Manila manager for corporate sales Kristine “Miles” Santos, secretary; and Astoria Vacation and Leisure Club Inc. global marketing director Desiree Rose De Guzman-Padiernos, treasurer.
The newly inducted Board of Trustees also includes Filinvest Hospitality vice-president – sales & marketing Carmela Bocanegra, as director of PR & Media Relations; The Linden Suites general manager Ma. Celeste B. Romualdo, director of membership; Amie Villena, area director of sales & marketing for Boracay Newcoast hotels (Savoy Hotel Boracay, Belmont Hotel Boracay, and Chancellor Hotel Boracay), director of education; The Manila Hotel vice-president – sales & marketing Marvin Kim Tan director for ways & means; and City of Dreams Manila director of sales & marketing Jennylyn Santillan, director for programs.
Serving as HSMA chair is Margarita “Margie” Munsayac, vice-president for sales & marketing of Bluewater Resorts, while Rose Libongco joins the board as HSMA virtus chair (Ex-Officio). Supporting the Virtus program is Wenie Maligaya, assistant vice-president for business development of Newport World Resorts, who serves as HSMA Virtus vice-chair.
During the meeting, HSMA also presented its calendar of major programs and initiatives for the year, which will focus primarily on education, training, and professional development for sales and marketing practitioners in the hospitality industry.
With a growing membership base representing hotels and resorts across the country, HSMA continues to play an important role in strengthening the Philippine hospitality sector.
Through collaboration among industry leaders and alignment with tourism stakeholders, the organization aims to help drive increased travel demand to the Philippines while delivering stronger business results for the properties its members represent.
