Commuters heading north on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) will soon be able to depart at a new San Pedro northbound toll plaza. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), in coordination with the Department of Transportation (DoTr), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and San Miguel Infrastructure, has successfully completed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for the Toll Collection System (TCS) at the new exit in preparation for its opening. The SAT — conducted to ensure smooth operation of the electronic toll collection system — confirmed that all components of the toll collection system meet TRB's stringent standards for safety, efficiency, and performance. The project was significantly driven by the efforts of Laguna First District Representative, Ann Matibag, actively coordinating with government agencies to advance the project. With this technical milestone cleared, the San Pedro Northbound Exit is tentatively scheduled to open to the public on 25 July 2025.Further announcements regarding toll rates, traffic advisories, and the formal inauguration ceremony are expected soon.
