MANILA, Philippines — More Filipinos trust and approve of the performance of Vice President Sara Duterte than President Marcos, based on OCTA Research’s 2025 fourth quarter survey.

The Dec. 16 to 20 survey showed lower trust and performance ratings for the President.

From 57 percent in September 2025, only 48 percent of respondents trust Marcos.

Those who distrusted him increased from 25 percent to 31 percent. Undecided respondents increased from 17 percent to 22 percent.

Marcos’ performance ratings went down from 54 percent to 51 percent.

Respondents dissatisfied with him slightly increased from 26 percent to 27 percent, while those who were undecided increased from 20 percent to 22 percent.

Duterte continued to enjoy the trust and satisfaction of most Filipinos.

From 51 percent in September, the Vice President’s trust rating increased to 53 percent.

Those who distrusted her also increased, from 24 percent to 26 percent.

Undecided respondents dropped from 26 percent to 21 percent.

Duterte’s satisfaction rating increased by five points, from 49 percent to 54 percent. Those who were dissatisfied with her performance increased from 26 percent to 28 percent.

The remaining 18 percent were undecided, down from 24 percent in the previous survey.

The survey results were released amid impeachment complaints filed against Marcos and Duterte.
