Iza Calzado took to social media to write a message for her daughter Deia on this year's International Women's Day.

On Instagram, the actress said her ultimate wish for Deia is to "grow up in a world where gender equality" is the golden standard and not something "we have to fight for."

"I hope we can both be part of the force that accelerates the progress to ensure the future is better for every girl, every woman and every human," she said.

She also reminded her daughter that change "starts from you."

"In order to better empower others, you need to believe in [your] own strength, your incredible power," Iza said.

"I pray for God's divine protection and grace to be with you and every woman every step of the way," she added.

She ended her post by greeting Deia with a Happy International Women's Day.

"Laban, anak!" she said.

"P.S. Happy IWD to all of us amazing women in the world! Mabuhay!" she added.

In a February episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Iza opened up about the death of her mother.

Iza got married to Ben Wintle in 2018. Iza announced her pregnancy in 2022 on her 40th birthday.

She announced the birth of her first child, Deia Amihan, in March 2023.
