OnePlus will launch a new power bank in China alongside the OnePlus 13T. The upcoming model will feature 150W SuperVOOC fast charging and a 20,000mAh battery capacity.
These numbers are certainly upgrades from the 100W, 12,000mAh version released last year.
Aside from SuperVOOC, the power bank will also support 100W Power Delivery (PD), which should be enough to charge laptops and other power-hungry devices. It can charge up to three devices at once and works with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even drones.
Based on the teaser image, the power bank has a silver sandblasted finish and comes with one USB-A port, one USB-C port, and a built-in USB-C cable.
OnePlus says it includes multiple safety features like temperature control and protection against overcharging and over-discharging. It’s also said to meet international standards for air travel.
To recall, according to the International Aviation Standard, power banks with less than 100Wh capacity are allowed on airplanes. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) also prohibits power banks exceeding 160Wh.
Thus, the upcoming OnePlus power bank with 20,000mAh (74Wh at 3.7V) should be safe for air travel.
