MANILA, Philippines — Motorists should brace for another round of hikes at the pumps next week, with prices expected to increase by over P1 per liter.
The prices per liter of gasoline could go up by P0.85 to P1.35, diesel by P0.75 to P1.25 and kerosene by P0.95 to P1.10, according to the Department of Energy.
The estimates reflect the trading results in the international oil market over the past four days.
Oil Industry Management Bureau assistant director Rodela Romero has attributed the estimated adjustments to US sanctions on Iran, which could reduce global oil supply by one million barrels per day.
Yesterday’s trading would determine the final price adjustments, which will be announced on Monday and take effect the following day.
