MANILA, Philippines — Despite “unending politicking and attacks,” Vice President Sara Duterte is committed to bringing services “closer to the people.”
Outlining the accomplishments of her office, Duterte said the disaster operations center extended relief to over 535,000 families nationwide.
About 231,604 people benefited from the Relief for Indigents and Individuals in Crises and Emergencies program and received hot meals delivered by Kalusugan food trucks, she said.
Through the Office of the Vice President (OVP)’s PagbaBAGo campaign, 603,751 students received school and dental kits, Duterte reported.
“By providing capital and improving grassroots economies, we have empowered 39 groups and over 4,400 entrepreneurs through our Mag Negosyo Ta ’Day program,” she said.
The OVP also planted 1,089,750 trees.
