ILOILO CITY — The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) confiscated an estimated P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu in a series of anti-drug operations within a 24-hour period.
The ICPO said the operations, carried out from early morning on May 19 to May 20, resulted in the recovery of around 221 grams of the illegal substance.
During this operation, four individuals were arrested, including two high-value individuals.
The largest seizure was documented on May 19, where operatives from ICPO Station 4 arrested a 52-year-old suspect in Barangay San Juan, Molo.
Authorities recovered about 100 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P680,000.

Later that night, the ICPO Station 7 nabbed another suspect in Barangay Tanza Bonifacio, City Proper. The same amount of drug recovery was also confiscated during the operation.
On the same day, in Antique province, the San Remigio Municipal Police Station arrested the region's sixth most wanted person for statutory rape and qualified rape.
The suspect, identified as Ben, a 35-year-old farmer from Barangay Sinundolan, San Remigio, was apprehended based on a warrant of arrest issued by the court on May 13. No bail was recommended.
