P50/kg price cap for imported rice targeted by end-April

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Agriculture (DA) hopes that President Marcos will issue an executive order imposing a price cap of P50 per kilogram on imported rice by the end of April. “Hopefully, [it will be implemented] before the end of the month,” Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said on the sidelines of
