ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Up to P8.2 million worth of property was destroyed in a fire that struck a populated area in this city on Monday afternoon.

No one was reported injured or killed in the blaze that occurred at past 1 p.m. along Falcasantos Drive in Barangay Divisoria, according to Fire Marshal Supt. Leo Pioquinto.

Probers said the fire started in a house owned by a certain Edwin Resol and quickly spread to other houses made of light materials.

Probers have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
