MANILA, Philippines — Despite the suspension of government operations from Dec. 29 to 31, the Parañaque City land tax division will remain open to accept real property tax payments.
According to city treasurer Anthony Pulmano, the land tax office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
The Express Lingkod office on the fourth floor of IT Zone, Ayala Malls Manila Bay will be closed.
Pulmano encouraged property owners to avail themselves of the 16 percent discount for advance payment of real property tax. The deadline is on Dec. 31.
No extension will be granted, Pulmano said.
For 2026, taxpayers opting for quarterly payments may settle their tax obligations without interest on the following deadlines: on or before March 31 for the first quarter, June 30 for second quarter, Sept. 30 for third quarter and Dec. 31 for the fourth quarter.
Failure to pay real property taxes within the prescribed periods will result in an interest charge of two percent per month until fully paid. The total interest should not exceed 36 months.
