MANILA, Philippines–Barangay Ginebra is bringing in Riley Grigsby as import for the start of its 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup campaign while Justin Brownlee recovers from a hamstring injury.

Coach Tim Cone confirmed late Thursday the signing of Grigsby, who has played in Luxembourg and the NBA G-League.

“He’s 26 years old and has had NBA G League experience and has come with some strong recommendations from his coaches there. We’re excited about working with him,” Cone said.

Grigsby comes in ahead of the Gin Kings’ first game of the third conference on July 19 against the Phoenix Fuel Masters at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ginebra has opted to tap Grigsby while Brownlee deals with a hamstring injury that has been bothering him since the team’s title run in the Commissioner’s Cup.

Brownlee played for Gilas Pilipinas in the double overtime loss to New Zealand in the third window of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers before sitting out the match against Australia.

He also played six games for the Santa Cruz Warriors during the 2025-26 G-League season.

The San Jose, California native also played in Fiba 3×3 competitions between 2023 and 2024.
