PBA: Robert Bolick, NLEX Road Warriors agree to contract extension

MANILA, Philippines–Robert Bolick signed a contract extension with NLEX amid the team’s strong campaign in the PBA Governors’ Cup and a likely stint with Gilas Pilipinas.

The Road Warriors announced on Wednesday the fresh pact Bolick inked before MPTC president and CEO Gilbert Santa Maria and team governor Ronald Dulatre.

Road Warriors coach Jimmy Alapag and Bolick’s agent Marvin Espiritu were also on hand to witness the signing that was posted by the team on its social media pages.

Bolick received a new deal while the season-ending conference is currently on a long break due to Gilas’ twin campaigns in the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

The Asian Games is expected to have Bolick as one of the players for the PBA-flavored Gilas squad.

NLEX has been Bolick’s home since December 2023, when his rights were acquired from NorthPort. Prior to the trade, Bolick had a short stint in the B.League for the Fukushima Firebonds.

Since returning home, Bolick emerged as one of the PBA’s premier players and became a member of the Mythical First Team in the 2024-25 season.

NLEX is currently tied for the lead with San Miguel Beer in Group A with a 7-2 win-loss record before the third conference went on a respite.
