MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine men’s football team failed to qualify for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup after a 1-1 draw against host Tajikistan in Hisor on Tuesday. Raphael Obermair’s opening goal in his debut was canceled out by an equalizer by Sheriddin Boboev before halftime and the scoreline stood until the final whistle at Central Stadium.
