THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. Region 3 (PhilHealth-3) has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) for the launching of the Konsulta provider clinic at the DepEd's regional office in Central Luzon.
The clinic will offer primary care services, including medical checkups or consultations, diagnostic and laboratory tests, and maintenance medicines to teachers, students, faculty, administrative staff and their family members.
PhilHealth-3 acting vice president Henry Almanon noted the agency's battle cry to provide benefits and services that are fast, fair and trustworthy.
"PhilHealth aims to strengthen our health programs, in partnership with DepEd, for healthy teachers, healthy students and healthy communities," Almanon said.
"Let us make use of the Konsulta program and other expanded benefits of PhilHealth."

Almanon added that PhilHealth aims to cover all provinces in Central Luzon through the accreditation of Konsulta providers and facilities, registration and assignment, and ensuring accessibility and utilization of Konsulta benefit packages.
Jessie Amin, DepEd assistant regional director, underscored the importance of establishing a functional clinic for DepEd personnel and learners.
He also expressed hope for potential financial support from PhilHealth to ensure the sustainability of the Konsulta provider clinic.
Since 2024, the DepEd Central Luzon regional office has integrated the PhilHealth learners' material into its portal and engaged teachers and students in discussions to raise awareness about PhilHealth benefit programs and services.
The partnership highlights ongoing health promotion efforts between both agencies to ensure better health outcomes for the education sector and their families.
