MANILA, Philippines — With the support from the Quezon City government, the PHINMA Saint Jude College in Quezon City (SJC-QC) has inaugurated its new Aurora building in Cubao, expanding its learning facilities to widen access to affordable education.

PHINMA Education chairman Ramon del Rosario Jr., vice chairman Magdaleno Albarracin Jr. and president and chief executive officer Chito Salazar led the inauguration.

The new building complements the college’s facilities at its 18th Avenue campus, formerly known as Republican College.

It is expected to accommodate up to 5,000 senior high school and college students.

“By opening this building, we are doing more than expanding access to education. We are reminding young people that they have the power to change the course of their lives,” Christopher Tan, country head of PHINMA Education Philippines, said.

“Here, anyone can pursue a college education, become a licensed professional, find meaningful work and finally honor the sacrifices of their families,” he added.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte was represented by District 3 action officer Thomas de Castro, who underscored the local government’s commitment to reduce barriers to schooling, support employability programs and expand learning pathways for residents.

To support access to students, PHINMA SJC-QC offers the Hawak Kamay Scholarship, which provides lower tuition starting at P5,500 per student, without entrance examinations or maintaining-grade requirements.

Its Kasama Support Hub, implemented across the PHINMA education network, also provides academic and personal guidance to students as part of efforts to improve retention and completion rates.

PHINMA SJC-QC also has a five-year academic development plan that includes the introduction of allied health programs, additional education programs and new degree offerings in engineering and architecture.

The college is part of the network of education institutions under PHINMA Education, which serves more than 178,000 students across the Philippines and Indonesia.

It recently inaugurated the 10-story Ramon V. del Rosario building at Southwestern University PHINMA in Cebu.
