Hi! So we have a PLDT bundle plan with landline and Fibr internet, paying around PHP 2699 per month. Back in 2016, we were given the modem/router combo from PLDT which also provided Wifi for the house.

Our devices previously kept disconnecting from the internet and having issues though. After years we realized it wasn't an internet issue but the supplied router couldn't handle more than 2 devices connected without collapsing. So we bought a mesh system to handle the load - and asked PLDT to put the router in bridge mode. Thus, the Wifi connection from the PLDT router itself disappeared and it became a mere modem for our new mesh setup. All well and good.

We then moved houses. I set up the same modem/mesh system and all was well. Then our parents upgraded to the 1Gbps plan while I was out. Upon arrival home, there was a new device (in picture) but the mesh system was still working anyways.

Although this time, the new device is ALSO outputting a Wifi signal, so its also acting as a router (not that anyone will connect to it).

My question is will this affect stability of our connection? Will the new device get overwhelmed again? Should I ask PLDT to activate bridge mode (although shouldnt the mesh system not work if it were inactive) or to turn off the Wifi feature of this device?

Thanks!
