PNP: 16% drop in crimes due to ‘institutionalized reforms’

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. attributed the decrease in the crime incidents they recorded to the agency’s “institutionalized reforms.” Focus crime incidents decreased by 16 percent from 4,495 cases from Feb. 22 to April 5; down to 3,776 cases from April 6 to May 18, according to
