MANILA, Philippines — Senior citizens tend to fulfill their New Year’s resolutions compared to younger people, based on Radio Veritas’ Truth Survey.

In the Dec. 1 to 25 poll, most respondents aged 60 and above said they fulfilled 75 percent of their resolutions for the new year.

Most adults aged 31 to 59 comply with 38.4 percent of their resolutions. Those aged 21 to 30 meet only 50 percent of their goals.

“The data points to critical patterns in how people approach goal-setting across their lifespan. Older adults’ higher fulfillment rates likely stem from three key factors: greater life experience in prioritizing realistic goals, stronger routine-building habits and reduced exposure to work and financial pressures that often derail adults’ plans,” the survey said.

Both men and women accomplish 75 percent of their New Year’s resolutions.
