MANILA, Philippines — Fuel prices are set to fall sharply on Tuesday, April 14, following weeks of steep increases, as the government pairs a major rollback with fresh tax relief measures.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said pump prices will drop by at least P20.89 per liter for diesel, P4.43 for gasoline and P8.50 for kerosene.

The rollback marks the first significant relief for consumers after sustained price spikes driven by tensions in the Middle East.

But the price cuts are no longer the only factor shaping pump prices in the coming days.

On Monday, April 13, Marcos announced the suspension of excise taxes on LPG and kerosene, widening the government’s response to the oil shock.

The move means that price estimates for Tuesday should be treated as incomplete, as they reflect only the rollback and not the additional impact of the tax suspension once it is passed on to consumers.

Estimated NCR pump price ranges after announced rollback

Based on the DOE NCR table for April 7-13, 2026 and the minimum rollback estimates announced for Tuesday, April 14

Note: These are estimated post-rollback ranges derived by subtracting the announced minimum rollback from the DOE NCR prevailing retail price ranges for April 7-13. Actual pump prices may vary by retailer and location. The cuts on excise taxes on kerosene and liquified petroleum gas, or LPG, are not yet reflected in these figures.
