MANILA, Philippines — Fuel prices are tracking a mixed direction for next week, with diesel poised for a possible rollback while gasoline may climb again as the oil shock continues to feed into transport, food and utility costs.

The early signals come as the energy shock is increasingly reflecting in sharp rise in prices of goods in the country. April inflation accelerated to 7.2%, its fastest pace since March 2023, with transport inflation surging 21.4% and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rising 8.2%.

Here are the estimated fuel price benchmarks for Thursday, May 7.
