BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Authorities have launched an investigation into the death of a bar entertainer after she was found inside her workplace, a KTV and disco bar located at KM 4, Marcos Highway, Barangay Bakakeng Central, following Christmas Day.

The victim was identified as a 44-year-old married woman who worked as an entertainer and was also a resident of the barangay.

Her lifeless body was discovered seated on a chair on the third floor of the KTV bar.

Police said a customer began looking for the victim after she left their VIP room. While checking the premises, the victim was found slumped over and unresponsive, prompting the immediate reporting of the incident to authorities.

Authorities added that the victim was last seen alive when she went to the bar counter to get a beer. It remains unclear what transpired between that moment and the discovery of her body.

According to the latest police report, the victim’s body was brought to a funeral parlor along Marcos Highway for proper procedures. The man who was last seen with her is now in police custody for further investigation as authorities continue to determine the exact cause of her death.
