MANILA, Philippines — Life insurer Pru Life UK and The Medical City inked a deal to boost health protection by offering tailored services that are expected to give customers wider health care options and improved support.

In a statement yesterday, Pru Life UK president and CEO Sanjay Chakrabarty said that the new partnership would help address key gaps Filipinos face in navigating health care, allowing the hospital to better support customers through the stages of diagnosis.

“With The Medical City, we can support customers as they move through the stages of diagnosis, treatment and recovery with clearer guidance and less uncertainty. We are creating a more connected and supportive health experience,” he said.

The insurance official added that the deal can help families make informed decisions with confidence and feel assured at every stage of their healthcare journey.

The introduction of innovative solutions and tailored services is expected to give customers a wider range of options and stronger support for health care needs, delivering greater value and a more seamless experience, the insurance firm said.

Pru Life UK will also offer free financial health checks to help customers assess their financial situation, identify protection gaps and receive expert guidance in planning for future healthcare needs.

The Medical City’s president and CEO Stuart Bennett said that the hospital and the insurance firm share a common vision of making a meaningful impact on the community.

In another event, Chakrabarty said that estate settlement continues to hinder family wealth, with many families forced to sell land, businesses or long-held assets just to meet estate obligations.
