MANILA, Philippines — Life insurer Pru Life UK reported a new business annual premium equivalent of P7.38 billion as of the third quarter, demonstrating strong growth in the Philippine life insurance market through expanded distribution.

In a statement, Pru Life UK said it reflects the firm’s continued focus on delivering relevant protection solutions and meaningful customer experiences, while broadening accessibility through an expanded distribution network and improved digital capabilities.

“We continue to see growing awareness among Filipino families on the importance of protection and long-term financial planning. Our role is to help them act on that awareness with greater clarity, confidence and support,” Pru Life UK’s chief financial officer Francis Ortega said.

The insurance firm has launched PRULove Wealth Direct, a single-pay traditional endowment life insurance product, reinforcing its commitment to helping Filipinos build financial security.

The product is designed to provide policyholders with guaranteed net annual cash payouts equivalent to four percent of the single premium over a seven-year period.

At the conclusion of the term, it returns the full premium paid, while also offering life insurance coverage amounting to 125 percent of the initial single premium, ensuring both financial security and long-term protection for clients.

“Customers are looking for solutions that are dependable and aligned with their priorities,” Ortega said.

“PRULove Wealth Direct enables them to make the most out of life, while securing protection for their families, wherever they are in their financial journey.”

The policy’s loanable cash values provide policyholders with the flexibility and financial convenience to tap into their accumulated funds whenever the need arises for emergencies or other major expenses.

“Pru Life UK continues to invest in advisory capability, digital access and customer support to help more Filipino families plan for the future and protect the value they work hard to build,” the firm said.

Recently, Pru Life UK and The Medical City signed a deal to enhance health protection by offering tailored services, which are expected to provide customers with wider healthcare options and improved support.
