MANILA, Philippines — A quick-response code allowing overseas Filipino workers and their families to track the deliveries of balikbayan boxes has been released by the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
About 130,000 boxes abandoned and unclaimed for two years are being delivered nationwide.
Scanning the QR code will direct users to a web page displaying the bill of lading, container number, consolidator, deconsolidator, country of origin and status of delivery.
Owners of balikbayan boxes can also visit customs.gov.ph/home/overseas-filipino-worker-ofw.
“Balikbayan boxes would be delivered door-to-door (for free),” the BOC said.
