MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government has provided medical and legal assistance to the victims of the deadly accident in Infanta, Quezon, which involved a bus carrying youth leaders from the city.

One died and seven were seriously injured after the bus carrying youth from Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City crashed along Marilaque Highway on Monday.

According to the city government, the group was on its way to a youth leadership camp when the accident happened.

The Quezon City legal department continues to coordinate with the victims, their families, investigators and other concerned agencies regarding the legal steps to be undertaken by the local government.

Quezon City has deployed medical assistance teams to provide support for the victims, with some already transferred to the East Avenue Medical Center and Quezon City General Hospital.
