Rachelle Ann Go is set to reprise her acclaimed role as Fantine in the "Les Misérables" The Arena Spectacular World Tour, an new staging of the iconic musical.
The Filipina theater star and singer announced the good news on Facebook, saying "I am absolutely thrilled to be playing Fantine."
"This show has been a significant part of my career, and I am honored to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this legendary show," she added.
According to Rachel, the Arena tour is "[Les Miserables] as you've never seen it before."
Celebrating four decades of "Les Misérables," the arena tour features large-scale productions with a cast and orchestra of over 65 performers. It's currently underway, with shows scheduled from May to June in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
Rachelle has played Fantine, a dying prostitute, in various stagings and tours of “Les Miserables,” including its 30th anniversary at the Sondheim Theatre in London.
She won the BroadwayWorld UK Award for Best Female Performance in a Long-Running West End Show in 2015.
In 2023, Rachelle returned to the Philippines to play Eliza for the international tour of “Hamilton."
Rachelle is also known for playing Gigi in “Miss Saigon.”
