MANILA, Philippines — Broadcaster Ramon Tulfo came to the defense of his brother, Sen. Raffy Tulfo, following speculations that the politician was the one being alluded to by a rising actress who claimed about receiving an indecent proposal from a senator.

Vivamax actress Chelsea Ylore claimed on the "Tiyo Bri Podcast" last week that she received indecent proposals from a senator and a "popular" mayor.

Chelsea said the latter was aged around 50 and 60 years old, served a city somewhere in Northern Luzon, and had offered her P150,000 to stay overnight.

"Si senator, tip pa lang, paldo na!" Chelsea quipped. The sexy star said the politician would tip up to P300,000, prompting the host to joke the senator was likely generous as the money would have come from taxes.

Upon mild pressue from the host, Chelsea teased the senator's first name started with "R" and had a "Y" while the surname had an "F."

Filipinos quickly took to social media to share their deductions, piecing together that the senator in question might be Raffy.

Ramon, however, backed his brother, sharing on Facebook that he found the speculations linking Raffy hilarious.

"Hindi ako maka-paniwala sa balita dahil takusa (takot sa asawa) ang kapatid ko kay Jocelyn," Ramon said, referring to Raffy's wife and ACT-CIS Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo. "Pero pagpalagay na natin na totoo: Eh, ano ngayon kung nambabae siya?"

The broadcaster said it would be more embarrassing if Raffy messed around with other men similar to what he claimed about another male lawmaker, whom he did not name, with basketball players.

"Kung totoo man ang balita — granting but not admitting, ang sabi pa ng mga abogado — eh, ano ngayon?" he repeated.

Ramon pointed out that Raffy, like fellow entertainer Willie Revillame, is known to be generous. Raffy gives out thousands of pesos on his programs straight from his own pocket, Ramon said.

He also said that Raffy and Jocelyn were wealthy before they even entered politics; hence, their combined Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth worth of P1 billion.

"Kung ako pa ang napabalita na nag-offer ng indecent proposal, kapani-paniwala pa," Ramon quipped.
