MANILA, Philippines – Three impeachment complaints have been lodged against Vice President Sara Duterte at the House of Representatives, but almost two months since the filing, the petitions have not made progress.
With Congress set to embark on a three-month break as the Philippines heads to the campaign season and the elections, it appears that the window of opportunity to put the VP’s head on the chopping block is closing.
But one group of complainants still argues — the best time to impeach her is now.
