MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in Makati will be closed on Friday, December 19, due to the Metro Manila Film Festival Parade of Stars.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the parade will start at 1 p.m.
The parade will cover a total distance of 8.4 kilometers, passing through major thoroughfares before ending at Circuit Makati. The route is as follows, according to the MMDA:
Start: Macapagal Boulevard
- Senator Gil Puyat Avenue
- Ayala Avenue
- Makati Avenue
- J.P. Rizal Street
- A.P. Reyes Avenue
End: Circuit Makati
Motorists are advised by the MMDA to avoid the parade route to prevent getting stuck in heavy congestion.
The MMDA said that it will implement temporary lane closures along the affected streets and a "stop-and-go" scheme to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure the safety of pedestrians.
“Mainam na gumamit ng ibang alternatibong ruta,” the MMDA said.
(Using alternative routes is highly encouraged.)
