Road incidents dominate Christmas, New Year injuries in Eastern Visayas

TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE, Philippines — Road incidents, not firecrackers, are registered as the leading cause of injuries during the Yuletide season, according to a Department of Health (DOH) report in the region. Of the 729 injuries recorded in Eastern Visayas during Christmas and New Year celebrations, only 30 were related to firecrackers, while the rest
