Indian leaker Ishan Agarwal detailed how the S Pen is losing features for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra via X. This is a developing story and has yet to be confirmed by other sources.

For context, the S Pen from the Galaxy S24 Ultra can be used for gestures and controlling the camera remotely. It was able to achieve this via a Bluetooth connection.

As per Agarwal, these features are omitted from the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen based on information from retailers. Netizens have speculated that this could be a cost-cutting measure. After all, it does eliminate the need for charging in the S-Pen slot.

Weirdly enough, this should only provide an incremental upgrade for the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s battery life. Otherwise, Samsung might have only removed the features to reduce the device weight.

Notably though, using the S Pen to control the camera isn’t used very often. Some could see this as either a downgrade or a quality of life change. What do you guys think of the S Pen losing features?
