MANILA, Philippines — Host-beauty queen Samantha Bernardo is expecting her first child with non-showbiz husband Scott Moore.

The Miss Grand International 2020 1st runner-up posted on her Instagram account a video of her and Scott at a gender reveal party.

Blue confetti after a countdown indicated the couple willl be having a boy next year. The video was taken by fellow Samantha and Miss Grand Philippines successor Samantha Panlilio.

"Still on love high and can’t sleep yet. Our hearts are so full and grateful!" Samantha said in her post's caption. "Thank you, Papa God, and thank you to everyone who surrounded us with so much love."

Samantha shared another video with a different angle of the reveal on her Instagram Stories, this accompanied by text that read "Priceless."

Among those who left congratulatory messages were fellow beauty queens Janine Tugonon, Patch Magtanong, and Karen Gallman, as well as Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Jen Barangan, Karen Bordador and Agpangan twins Jai and Joj.

The former gymnast from Puerto Princesa, Palawan began her pageantry journey by joining Miss World Philippines as a 20-year-old before back-to-back 2nd runner-up finishes in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and 2019.

She was promoted to 1st runner-up in the latter year following the resignation of Miss Grand Philippines 2019 Samantha Lo, then represented the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2020 as initial delegate Aya Abesamis was past the pageant's age requirement.

Outside of pageantry, Samantha finished 3rd on "Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10" behind Isabel Laohoo and winner Anji Salvacion.

Samantha and Scott got engaged in February 2023 and tied the knot a year later. The couple revealed they were expecting last month.
