MANILA, Philippines—Alas Pilipinas Women seek redemption in the Southeast Asian V Cup Leg 2, which runs from Aug. 7 to 9 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
After a winless Leg 1 in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Filipino spikers look to return to the podium after their four-tournament bronze medal streak ended with a four-set loss to Indonesia in the bronze medal match last Sunday.
Led by Leg 1 Best Opposite Spiker Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, Eya Laure and captain Jia De Guzman, Alas Pilipinas eyes a stronger showing in the second leg as part of its buildup for the 2026 Asian Games next month.
The Philippines opens its campaign against host and Leg 1 champion Thailand. Then it takes on Vietnam on Saturday before wrapping up the single round-robin tournament against Indonesia on Sunday.
