Acclaimed scriptwriter Bibeth Orteza also took to social media to pay tribute to her dear late friend, Nora Aunor.

On Facebook, the well-known writer penned a heartwarming story that captured the superstar's generosity and kindness.

Bibeth shared how she could never forget the help Nora extended to her during tough times, especially when she was facing financial struggles.

"This family breadwinner was finally able to make enough money to move her family out of the silong occupied since 1971, to a three storey apartment on K-1 street, in Kamuning," she recalled. "Problem was the talent fees I was expecting to make the down payment for the move wasn't out yet."

In desperate need of funds, Bibeth asked Nora for help and promised to pay her back as soon as possible. She admitted that Nora was hesitant at first, wondering if she was telling the truth, but eventually signed a check for her.

"A month or so later, I got paid. I had no checking account, so I brought the money to her. She wasn't home. I left the cash with the same person who prepared the check for me," Bibeth continued.

But to her surprise, a basket of fruits with the exact same envelope of cash she had left arrived back at her in the evening.

"I rushed to her place in Valencia. She had guests. Our eyes met. I waved the envelope at her. She put a finger to her mouth, shook her head, gave me a beer, while also putting the envelope back in my bag. She wasn't perfect. But she was this," she shared.

Fans of both Bibeth and Nora expressed delight upon hearing the touching story, adding even more admiration and respect for the late veteran actress.
