MANILA, Philippines —  Security Bank Corp. has partnered with VeritasPay Philippines Inc. to expand the access of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to digital payment solutions, as more consumers shift toward card and QR-based transactions.

Under the collaboration, Security Bank’s MSME clients can access VeritasPay’s point-of-sale (POS) terminals through the bank’s referral program at preferential rates, allowing small businesses to adopt modern payment acceptance tools more easily.

The partnership aims to help businesses respond to evolving consumer payment behavior while improving operational efficiency through digital payment systems.

“MSMEs need simple and reliable ways to accept digital payments as customer behavior continues to evolve,” said John David Yap, executive vice president and head of the business banking segment at Security Bank.

“Through our partnership with VeritasPay, we are helping our clients adopt modern payment solutions that allow them to serve customers better and operate more efficiently,” Yap said.

The POS platform offered through VeritasPay includes a merchant dashboard that provides real-time visibility of transactions and simplifies payment reconciliation, allowing business owners to monitor collections and cash flow more efficiently.

VeritasPay president and CEO Christopher Payne said the collaboration combines the payment firm’s technology with Security Bank’s network of MSME clients to support more Filipino entrepreneurs.

“We are honored to empower their merchants with seamless credit, debit and QR payment solutions through our innovative POS technology. Together, we believe merchants deserve not only advanced solutions, but exceptional service that truly supports their growth,” Payne said.

Through the program, Security Bank BusinessPlus accountholders can avail themselves of discounts on VeritasPay POS terminals, including a five percent discount for one-time purchases and a 10 percent discount for monthly leasing options on eligible devices.

Security Bank first vice president and head of customer value proposition Lex Cimagala said businesses today require tools that support daily operations beyond traditional financing.

“By connecting our clients to VeritasPay’s POS solutions, we’re helping them streamline collections, improve cash flow visibility and operate more efficiently,” Cimagala said.

According to Security Bank, the partnership reflects its broader push to equip Filipino entrepreneurs with technology and financial solutions that could help scale their operations as digital payments continue to grow in the country.
