Thai rock band Slot Machine returns with "Skyline," showcasing their revolutionary sound after the success of "Walk The Earth."
Skyline's music video garnered over 6.5 million views on YouTube, following the impressive milestone of 10 million views for "Walk The Earth."
After receiving the Best International Song of the Year at The Guitar Magazine Awards for "Walk The Earth," members Karinyawat Durongjirakan (Foet), Atirath Pintong (Gak), and Janevit Chanpanyawong (Vit) expressed their gratitude, noting that it reminded them that music doesn't have borders, driving them to continue pushing forward.
When asked what music means to the band, they shared, "It's both our anchor and our way of exploring the unknown." The musicians also named classic rock legends The Beatles and David Bowie their musical influences, explaining, "We admire artists who push boundaries and reinvent themselves while staying true to their identity."
Building on their previous success, they released "Skyline," which captures an uplifting mix of love, joy, and excitement — a feeling the group describes as "weightless."

"It's an evolution of our sound—big, cinematic, and emotional, yet still grounded in the raw energy that defines Slot Machine."
The members also discussed their collaboration with producer Andrew DeRoberts, revealing that he helped shape the track's dynamic and modern production, ensuring it was powerful and deeply emotional while executive producer Ryan Tedder guided the overall sound refined their direction but kept band's essence intact.
At its core, Slot Machine's sound is ever-evolving, balancing rock with modern production while highlighting grand melodies and emotional depth.
"We blend atmospheric textures with raw energy to create something that feels both cinematic and personal," they shared.
Initially, their goal was simply to connect with listeners, but over time, it evolved into a mission to continuously challenge themselves musically and share Thai rock with a global audience.
As a band that composes music in Thai and English, they explained that the choice of language depends on the emotion of the song. "At the end of the day, music is universal, and if it's honest, it will connect with people no matter the language."
However, they admitted they struggled to expand internationally, stating, "It's not just language barriers, but understanding different audiences."
Despite the obstacles, they've overcome this by staying true to their sound and finding innovative ways to share their music.
When asked about memorable songs in their discography, they selected "Walk the Earth," which expanded their audience; "Chao Chao (Goodbye)," an early track with deep personal meaning; and Skyline, which marks their next leap forward.
"Working on 'Skyline' felt like a big step forward for us, both sonically and creatively. Seeing how it resonates with fans makes it all worth it." Ultimately, the band hopes their audience can truly feel the authenticity in their music.
"Whether it's power, hope, nostalgia, or the urge to move, music should stir emotions and take you somewhere, even if just for a moment."
They advised their listeners to avoid complacency, pushing themselves to explore new sounds and collaborations to sustain their passion for music. "Don't chase trends — find what excites you and build on that. Your sound will evolve naturally if you stay true to what moves you," they added.
With Skyline finally released, fans can look forward to brand-new music and shows.
Teasing what's next, they hinted at unexpected collaborations, not just with Thai artists, but with musicians across Asia.
"We're just getting started," they finally promised.
