MANILA, Philippines — Rumors of actress Kathryn Bernardo's current romantic life were stoked even more after she was recently seen in Thailand with Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.

Pictures of Kathryn and Mark holding hands while walking in a Bangkok mall circulated online, further fuelling months-long talks the two were seeing each other.

This after both were spotted at Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport earlier this week, reportedly also visiting another Thai city Chiang Mai.

Kathryn herself posted a video of her Thailand trip on Instagram. While Mark's face is never seen, a few clips show Kathryn seated beside a taller man.

Fans were quick to point out the man beside Kathryn is wearing a bracelet similar to the one Mark is wearing in the Bangkok mall photos, leading fans to infer that the actress might be soft launching her new relationship.

"Tom yum is life," Kathryn wrote in the caption of her video, which limited who could comment to peers such as Maymay Entrata, Rabiya Mateo and Tim Yap.

Neither Kathryn nor Mark has addressed the rumors about their relationship, which date back to 2025 sightings in public.
