K-drama star Song Joong-ki made Saturday night (May 24) truly unforgettable as he brought smiles and warmth during “IAM Song Joong-ki: Live in Manila” at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Presented by IAM Worldwide and Publicity Asia, the fan meet overflowed with laughter, touching stories, and up-close fan interactions that showcased the actor's signature charm and sincerity.
"Salamat, Manila!" the South Korean star greeted, drawing cheers from the crowd.
"Wow! There's so many people tonight. The arena's jam-packed. I'm very, very grateful to all coming here tonight. Of course, thank you for the invitation from IAM Worldwide for bringing me here in Manila for the first time," he added in Korean.
The fan meet featured kilig-filled highlights, from lively games on stage to personal unforgettable moments. One standout event was when actress Janice de Belen received flowers that Song Joong-ki personally arranged on stage.
Meanwhile, Sparkle host Janeena Chan brought extra fun and energy as she helped the actor try out new Tagalog phrases.
"Sobrang ganda ng pronounciation ng Tagalog words," Joong-ki praised. "Parang gusto ko mag-aral ng Tagalog din."
The evening also brought a sweet reunion for Melissa Gohing and Rocco Nacino, who had previously met the K-drama actor. Melissa emotionally thanked Song Joong-ki for a birthday greeting he once sent her.
"Thank you for greeting me last time. I cried," she told the actor enthusiastically.
Before ending the night, the actor made sure to express his deep appreciation for his Filipino supporters.
"As an actor to give this back to you guys, of course I'll be a good actor and do good in work as well. That is why I think I'll also return here to Manila someday. Thank you so much," he said.
