South Korea economy grew one percent in 2025 — central bank

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea’s economy grew just one percent in 2025, Seoul’s central bank said on Thursday. Even then, exports rose on the back of an AI boom. The one-percent growth rate was the slowest since 2020, when the economy shrank following the outbreak of Covid-19. Asia’s fourth-largest economy grew two percent in 2024.
