Several news agencies in South Korea have reported her death, citing confirmation from Seongdong Police Station.

A report from CNN stated that Kim's body was discovered by a friend on Sunday, Feb. 16, and that there were no signs of foul play.

Kim was one of South Korea's most promising actresses. She started as a child star with the film "A Brand New Life" in 2009, which brought her to Cannes Film Festival.

Other notable works include films "The Neighbor" (2012), "A Girl at My Door" (2014), as well as the series "Mirror of the Witch" (2016).
