MANILA, Philippines — South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron — best known for her roles in "A Brand New Life" and "The Man From Nowhere" — was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. She was 24.
Several news agencies in South Korea have reported her death, citing confirmation from Seongdong Police Station.
A report from CNN stated that Kim's body was discovered by a friend on Sunday, Feb. 16, and that there were no signs of foul play.
Kim was one of South Korea's most promising actresses. She started as a child star with the film "A Brand New Life" in 2009, which brought her to Cannes Film Festival.
Other notable works include films "The Neighbor" (2012), "A Girl at My Door" (2014), as well as the series "Mirror of the Witch" (2016).

Kim's career came to an unexpected halt in 2022 due to a drunk driving incident. She withdrew from the public eye, but Korean media reported she had been attempting a comeback with the film "Guitar Man," which is currently in post-production.
