MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has issued proclamations declaring special non-working days next month in seven areas to mark founding anniversaries and local celebrations.

Proclamation 1110 declared Jan. 6 a special non-working day in the City of Oroquieta in Misamis Occidental for the celebration of its 56th Charter anniversary and 96th anniversary as the capital of the province.

Proclamation 1114, meanwhile, declared Jan. 5 a special non-working day in the municipality of Bauang, La Union to mark the celebration of its 440th founding anniversary.

Jan. 31 will be a special non-working day in Lian, Batangas as provided under Proclamation 1115 to allow residents to commemorate the town’s Liberation Day.

The Palace also declared Jan. 27 a special non-working day in Tantangan, South Cotabato under Proclamation 1116 to mark the town’s 65th founding anniversary and the Kulitangtang Festival.

Proclamation 1117 declared Jan. 16 a special non-working day in Batangas City for the celebration of its city fiesta.

Proclamation 1118 also declared Jan. 9 a special non-working day in the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato as it celebrates its 86th founding anniversary and the Hinugyaw Festival.

Meanwhile, Proclamation 1119 declared Jan. 21 a special non-working day in the municipality of Currimao, Ilocos Norte for the celebration of its founding anniversary.

Proclamation 1110 was signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by the authority of President Marcos, on Dec. 15, while the other declarations were signed on Dec. 16.
