MANILA, Philippines — St. Luke’s Medical Center has completed the vertical construction of its North Hospital Building in Quezon City, a facility that will reinforce the hospital’s role as a leading institution in Philippine health care.
The 13-story North Hospital Building located beside the hospital’s College of Medicine is key to St. Luke’s vision of enhancing and future-proofing its Quezon City facility.
Slated for completion in 2027, it will house nearly 80 percent of the hospital’s existing services for greater accessibility and convenience.
It will accommodate 132 patient rooms, expanded outpatient and diagnostic and therapeutic areas, advanced surgical suites, as well as dedicated spaces for specialized care services and features that will make hospital operations more efficient and further elevate patient care.
St. Luke’s said the building would feature advanced health care technologies and adhere to the highest standards of safety and excellence, providing patients with a safer and more comfortable environment.
“The topping-off ceremony means more than just finishing a structure. It reflects the institution’s continued commitment to world-class healthcare for the patients it serves. As St. Luke’s builds for the future, it stays rooted in its mission to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care,” St. Luke’s said.
St. Luke’s broke ground on the new hospital building in 2024, a significant step in the redevelopment initiative for the St. Luke’s Quezon City facility which was established in the 1960s.
With a cost of P6 billion, the new hospital building is seen opening a new chapter in St. Luke’s commitment to healing, innovation and service.
The development of the North Hospital Building is part of St. Luke’s growth and expansion initiatives aimed at providing the highest quality of service to its patients.
The company is targeting to break ground on the P18-billion St. Luke’s Aseana in Parañaque this year, with the 500-bed hospital slated for opening by 2030.
St. Luke’s-Quezon City was recently recognized as Tertiary Hospital of the Year at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026.
